01 — Who We Are
Chi Alpha is the campus ministry of the Assemblies of God — and at UAS, it is mostly just a group of students who decided that faith is better with friends.
We are freshmen who moved here from a village and seniors who grew up on Douglas. We are people who have followed Jesus their whole life and people who walked in for the free pizza and stayed because someone learned their name.
Chi Alpha exists on more than 300 campuses in the U.S., and it has been in Alaska since Fairbanks launched in 2014. Juneau is the newest of those — and it is being built by the students who show up.
You do not have to sort out what you think about God before you get a seat here. Ask the hard question out loud. Nobody is grading your answer.
A room of a hundred people can still be lonely. Most of what happens here happens in groups of eight, over food, on somebody’s couch.
You are not an audience. Students lead worship, host groups, and plan the trips. Whatever you are good at, there is room for it here.

02 — What We Do
Four things, most weeks. You do not have to do all of them.
Worship, a talk that takes your questions seriously, and time to actually talk to people afterward. This is the front door — if you only do one thing, do this one.
Eight or so people, someone’s apartment, food, and a conversation that goes somewhere. This is where a big room turns into people who know your name.
Hikes, movie nights when it will not stop raining, ski days — the unstructured hours that end up being what you remember about college. Replace with what Juneau actually does.
Describe what going out looks like from Juneau — Southeast villages, cross-cultural trips, serving in town. Written here as a guess until you tell us the real shape of it.
